mobileepod056 - Presented by AND.ID

And.Id is mobilee's master of swung beats, characterising his textured and rhythmic productions as "body moving, and mind grooving."

Born and bred in Thessaloniki, Greece, Andreas Dimitriadis began reciprocating music from an early age absorbed in his father's extensive record collection. From his musical studies, he applied his training to a range of artistic outlets, jamming in local bands, producing tracks for freestyle groups and creating scores for short films. And.Id spent a great portion of his time sifting through colorful records, discovering new worlds and building relationships in his favorite getaway spot, Playground record store in Thessaloniki.

And.Id's acclaimed live show integrates both well-loved and unreleased productions, loops and esoteric grooves into a high-energy affair. His one-of-a-kind live show has landed him extensive tours throughout Australia, North and South America, plus spots at world-renowned clubs like Fabric and Panorama Bar, and international festivals such as Sonar, Nuits Sonores, Synch, Monegros and Reworks. Whether it's house or techno, melodic or organic, percussive grooves, or rough and edgy snares, one thing is certain: whether on deck live or playing records, And.Id delivers. He is on course for further ingenious old-world takes on four-to-the-floor modernism. Moreover, And.Id's individualized approach is a perfect reflection of the vision, passion, and love of music that continues to drive the extended mobilee team in all that they do, and all that will come.

mobileepod055 - Presented by Re.You

In this episode of our mobilee podcast: Re.You's mobilee session at Watergate. Enjoy!

As a teenager in Ulm, a sleepy town in southern Germany, Marius first began to appreciate the dark arts of beats through a love of DJ Premier’s dark and jazzy cuts. Friends started all getting into turntablism but there were other things on his mind, especially after winning the German Youth Championship in basketball. A brutal knee injury ended these chances but with a lot of spare recovery time now on his hands, he began to teach himself production.

Having fallen in with the Keinemusik crew around ’09 he soon developed a solid live partnership with Rampa. He describes their first night at Horst as one of the key moments in his career, and having previously only performed live, decided to devote himself to Re.You and start DJing too.

mobileepod054 - Presented by Lee Van Dowski

In this episode of our monthly mobilee podcast: Lee Van Dowski's mobilee #LetGo session at Watergate. Enjoy!

Lee Van Dowski: The very name exudes style and intrigue—a country lord, perhaps, who at night throws open the manor gates to host all-night bacchanals legendary for their wine and song.

And though the French-born, Geneva-based artist may not have a manor to his name, the rest isn't far off the mark. Born Renaud Lewandowski, Lee has earned a reputation as a kind of dark prince of uplifting electronic music—a trickster who spreads his mischief via long, undulating DJ sets and bewilderingly funky releases. And he's done this in a remarkably short span of time. In 2004, he and Philippe Quenum released the well-received "Extension"/"Oregon" single for Luciano's Cadenza label; since then Lee has gone on to unleash a deluge of material on labels like Mental Groove, Bpitch Control, Dumb Unit, Einmaleins, Memo, Plak, Defrag Sound Processing, Mobilee, Leena, Wagon Repair, Soma (where Lee and Quenum also released their collaborative album, As Told On The Eve Of…) and still more. He's a regular fixture at some of the world's most celebrated nightclubs— Panorama Bar, Weetamix, Goa, Rex Club, D edge, The Arches etc…and even more celebrated afters. And as the director of two labels—Num, alongside Quenum, and 60Sec, with Agnès—he's released dozens of records from the likes of Butane, Mike Shannon, Alex Attias, Exercise one, Pan Pot, Dario Zenker and many more.
